Tigger and Piglet walk into a Juice Shack...

Happy February 2019!  If you'd like to know more about how 2018 finished, please read on.  "In fact" (and yes, I like to use that term correctly most every day!), we did so much at the end of the year that most of the pictures will be in links on Google, so don't forget to "click it or miss it"! 😀

Love,

(and that's how many minutes my timeouts are now, too! 😛)

October

Trick or Treating, what fun!  We continued our new tradition of pizza with the Villagers for dinner, then we hit the streets as a pack.

November

Early in the month, my school had a special visit from Woodland Fire Fighters and one of their engines.  They talked to us about not being afraid of them while they are in all their gear, and then we got to spray a fire hose!  Yea fire fighters!

Nana came and stayed with us for a few days while Moms went to Texas to help out Memaw. I had school pictures while Nana was here and I liked getting "fancy" for school.

While Moms were in Texas the sad Camp Fire started about 80-miles north of us.  So once Moms were back, we had lots of time together because schools and Mama's work were being closed because of bad air. Mommy said she couldn't get anything done with all of us around all the time, and we liked it that way. 😏 With the extra time at home, and just enough clear skies, Moms were able to finally put in our sod and make our backyard real! Sadie is super happy to have grass again too.  Everyday almost, she goes out and either lays in the sunshine or wiggles on her back in it.  She's a funny pup!

I was a "one-boy crew" putting down lots of GOOD DIRT before moms did the sod! :)

Then, Thanksgiving!!  Aunt Sheralyn came from Tillamook again and visited us before going to Nana's and Papa's.  Then we all met up at Nana's and Papa's for the holiday, including Aunt Sheralyn's daughter Shaunell that I had never met.  During the Thanksgiving Weekend we got to ride on a Sunnyvale Firetruck for donating toys to kids that needed them, AND we went to San Francisco for our yearly visit with all the Santa Clara Cousins! We finished the weekend with the Los Altos Lights Parade right before we got in the car to head home on Sunday night. Check out our busy holiday weekend at: Grateful Life

December.  Oh, December!

The month kicked off with my class going to a Christmas Tree Farm and cutting a tree down for our classroom.  We also got to see some donkeys, sheep, chicken and sit on an old tractor.  What a fun fieldtrip!
Me at the Tree Farm (more pictures at the link)

A few days later we went with the Villagers to the Woodland Tree Lighting Celebration.  Besides the huge tree being lit, we got to ride in a horse-drawn wagon down Main Street, drink hot cider and dance in "snow".

Silly Porter with the downtown Woodland Tree

Before Christmas even arrived, we did:
-Porter's piano recital;
-trip to Silveyville Tree Farm for our own tree AND visiting Santa;
-decorating our holiday cookies and our annual open house;
-going to the North Pole on the Polar Express (no, for real!);
-being Shepherd's in our Church Nativity Play
-going on a date with Moms to the Woodland Opera House to see the "Nutcracker Sweet".  (Thank goodness that was only 45-minutes, I did NOT like the people on the stage not talking.  Porter said he thinks he's more of a "play and musical kind of guy" and I totally agree!!!)

I graduated to a Shepherd this year!

Then Christmas came, Graunty and Gruncle Cliff from Austin came to visit us after Christmas, and here are the links to all the pictures of December fun:

January
2019 has begun with more busyness than it used to.  First, Moms kicked off January 2nd by celebrating their 15th Anniversary.  The slipped out in the dark of night (don't worry, Gruncle was at the house to stay with us!) and went and rode in a hot air balloon. Those two are crazy, and PJ and I like that they like each other! Here are their pics: Anniversary Balloon Ride

After that excitement, we had another "annual tradition" of new year's s'mores with the Villagers in our fun new backyard (we had to wait for a non-rainy night). PJ is doing basketball this winter with the YMCA, and I am doing gymnastics - nothing else to do until baseball season starts! 😉 We had two power outages in great big storms and Porter has already had strep throat. And we finally got handles on our cabinets and drawers, a Christmas gift from Aunt Bernedette and Uncle Gary. (if you want to see them and the before/after pictures, there's actually a link for that too! click here on: cabinet hardware) Hooray for 2019!

S'mores!

Porter was under that blanket for 2-days when he was sick! He never holds that still! :)

Art by Flashlight and Shadow Puppets were good games during our storm blackouts!

Porter's Team is the "Red Cheetahs"

And I'm in "Junior Jumpers" Gymnastics, with a show to perform at in March!

Ol' Sadie-pup spends most of her days enjoying the sun, but she still knows how to greet us with a happy tail when we come home from our adventures!
