Mendocino "Baby Moon"

On the weekend of August 19th, we headed to the Northern California coast, for some cooler air and a few days away from the to-do lists.  After a 4-hour drive which included only 1 potty-stop(!), we stopped at The Inn at School House Creek, 3 miles south of Mendocino.  There we had a rustic 'cottage' waiting for us, complete with a small kitchen, a fenced in back-yard for Sadie-pup and a jacuzzi that Tina enjoyed.  Friday night we had a phenomenal dinner in Mendocino at a little french place, then we just hung out and read some new kids books to Luggy.

Saturday we had a nice breakfast in an old house on the property, did a little hiking in the forest on the property, played fetch with Sadie, hung out, had a couple's massage in a yurt and dinner again in Mendocino.

Sunday was breakfast again on the property, a 1/4-mile walk to the Inn's private dog beach where Sadie had a wonderful time, then a couple of hours in Mendocino before heading home.

The Inn was a really nice experience, and they have a variety of housing options if you are headed out that way.  The staff treated us well, as we had gotten their "final fling" package, specifically for expectant parents.  They were uber-dog friendly and 'spa services' in a yurt was kind of a fun experience.  It was a lovely family get-away as we head into the final home stretch before Lug's arrival.
